Best WhatsApp Business API Provider in India 2026
An honest, India-first guide to choosing a WhatsApp Business API provider — Flowgento, Wati, AiSensy, Interakt, Gallabox compared on pricing, features, and fit.
There are now half a dozen credible Indian BSPs (Business Solution Providers) running on Meta’s WhatsApp Business Cloud API. They mostly do the same thing — send messages, manage an inbox, run broadcasts, attribute Click-to-WhatsApp ads. They differ on price, feature depth, and who they’re built for.
This guide is for Indian SMB founders, marketing managers, and ops leads making the call between Flowgento, Wati, AiSensy, Interakt, and Gallabox in 2026. We’re biased — we make Flowgento — but we’ve tried to be useful even if you walk away picking someone else.
What is a WhatsApp Business Solution Provider?
Meta operates the WhatsApp Business Cloud API. Officially, businesses can integrate directly — but doing so means writing code against Meta’s API, handling template approvals, managing webhook delivery, and dealing with quality monitoring yourself.
A BSP is a SaaS company that wraps Meta’s API in a useful product. You sign up for the BSP, they help you connect your WhatsApp Business number via Meta’s Embedded Signup, and you get a dashboard with inbox, broadcasts, contacts, analytics, and so on. Behind the scenes the BSP routes your messages through Meta’s API.
You’re paying for two things layered together:
- The BSP’s product and service — the dashboard, the support team, the integrations.
- Meta’s per-conversation charges — Meta charges per conversation initiated, by category (marketing, utility, authentication, service). The first 1,000 service-initiated conversations a month are free; beyond that, rates apply per Meta’s published price list. Most BSPs pass these charges through.
This matters because some “cheap” BSPs hide markups on Meta’s charges. Always ask whether per-conversation Meta charges are passed through at cost.
The 2026 shortlist of Indian BSPs
In rough order of how often Indian SMBs evaluate them in 2026:
- Wati — Singapore-headquartered, one of the larger Indian-market BSPs. Strong enterprise track record. Plans typically start in the ~₹2,000+/month range.
- AiSensy — Indian BSP focused on broadcasts and Click-to-WhatsApp Ads. Pre-built Shopify and chatbot tooling. Entry tiers typically ~₹1,000+/month.
- Interakt — Indian BSP backed by the Jio Haptik ecosystem. Mature template tooling and India enterprise focus. Entry tiers typically ~₹2,000+/month.
- Gallabox — Indian BSP with a strong no-code chatbot builder. Mid BSP price band.
- Flowgento — That’s us. Bootstrapped Indian BSP focused on SMB pricing. Free plan at ₹0; paid plans from ₹499/month with unlimited platform messaging.
All five sit on the same Meta Cloud API. None of them have unique access to WhatsApp itself. The differences are product, pricing, and team.
How to choose (the criteria that actually matter)
Most BSP review articles fixate on feature checklists. Real Indian SMB buyers care about four things, in this order:
1. Total monthly cost at your real volume
Not just the sticker price. The all-in monthly cost is: BSP subscription + Meta’s per-conversation charges at your volume. Sketch out a realistic month — say, 8,000 transactional conversations and 1,500 marketing conversations — and calculate the total for each provider.
Bundled-allowance BSPs sometimes look cheap until you exceed the allowance and hit overage rates. Pass-through BSPs (like Flowgento) make the math easier because the Meta cost is the same wherever you run it.
2. Agent seat structure
Per-seat pricing punishes growth. If you expect to scale beyond five agents, look at the top tier’s seat allowance. Some BSPs charge per seat all the way up. Flowgento Scale at ₹1,999/month is unlimited agents — many competitors charge per seat at equivalent tiers.
3. Template approval support
WhatsApp templates need to be approved by Meta. Reasonable BSPs help with formatting, category guidance, and rejection feedback. Poor BSPs leave you guessing.
4. Support team that operates in your timezone
When your number gets restricted at 11pm on a Friday during a campaign launch, who answers? Larger BSPs have rotating support; smaller bootstrapped BSPs may answer slower but the proprietor will eventually read it. Ask for the response-time commitment in writing.

When each provider wins
Wati wins when
You need enterprise track record, deep BFSI experience, or a specific Wati-only integration. Wati has been around longer than most Indian competitors and has the procurement-friendly pedigree larger companies look for.
AiSensy wins when
You need a polished chatbot builder and native Shopify integration out of the box. AiSensy has invested heavily in both and has the most polished chatbot UI among Indian BSPs.
Interakt wins when
You’re already in the Jio Haptik ecosystem or need a large India sales team to walk you through a complex deployment. Interakt’s Jio Platforms backing helps with procurement at certain large Indian buyers.
Gallabox wins when
You’re a non-technical first-time buyer who wants maximum hand-holding plus a chatbot flow editor. Gallabox’s onboarding is genuinely friendly for buyers who’ve never set up the Business API before.
Flowgento wins when
You’re a price-sensitive Indian SMB. Or you want a genuine free plan to try the platform before paying. Or you want unlimited agents at the top tier. Or you want to email the founder and get a reply the same day. These are the cases we built the product for.
Common mistakes when buying a WhatsApp BSP
After helping a few dozen teams switch BSPs, the same mistakes show up:
Mistake 1: Comparing only sticker price. The BSP fee is half the cost. Meta’s per-conversation rates can dominate at high volume. Calculate total cost at your expected message mix.
Mistake 2: Underestimating opt-in compliance. Meta is strict about opt-in. You can’t just upload your existing contacts and start broadcasting — you’ll get blocked. Plan your opt-in flow before launch.
Mistake 3: Building chatbot flows you don’t need. Most Indian SMBs get 80% of WhatsApp Business value from a shared inbox, broadcasts, and a simple welcome message. A complex chatbot is appealing in demos but rarely the highest-ROI investment for a small team.
Mistake 4: Picking the wrong template category. Marketing templates get used up faster (lower Meta limits, more reject scrutiny). Utility templates for transactional messages are cheaper and easier to approve. A good BSP helps you pick the right category.
Mistake 5: Treating BSP lock-in as permanent. It isn’t. Your WhatsApp Business number, your templates (mostly), and your account quality all live in Meta — not in the BSP. Switching BSPs takes half a day, not a week.
Our take
We started Flowgento because we kept meeting Indian SMBs who needed a WhatsApp Business API tool but had been priced out of the market by enterprise-targeted BSPs. The biggest competitor pricing pages start at ₹2,000+/month for the entry tier — many small businesses just couldn’t justify that.
So our pitch is straightforward: get the SMB version of WhatsApp Business done well, price it like it matters that the customer is a small Indian business, and don’t add features that make the product more complex without genuinely helping.
If you’re a startup or SMB doing fewer than ~50,000 conversations a month, Flowgento is probably the cheapest credible option in the market and we’d love to have you. If you’re a Series-B-funded D2C brand running 200,000 conversations a month, you might genuinely be better served by Wati or AiSensy — we’ll tell you so. Email us and we’ll be honest about whether we’re the right fit.
FAQs
Are all BSPs equally good at delivering messages? Delivery happens on Meta’s infrastructure, not the BSP’s. As long as the BSP routes through the official Cloud API (all five listed here do), delivery quality is identical at the Meta level. Quality issues come from your sender reputation, not the BSP.
Can I run Flowgento alongside another BSP? No — a WhatsApp Business number can only be connected to one BSP at a time via Meta’s system. You can switch between BSPs by reassigning the number, but you can’t dual-route.
How long does Meta’s Business Verification take? Typically 1–7 business days if your documents are clean. Some BSPs help expedite by reviewing your Business Manager setup before submission. Verification is required for higher messaging tier eligibility.
Do I need GST registration? To use Flowgento, no — we bill in INR with GST invoices if you provide a GSTIN, but GST registration isn’t required. Most established Indian businesses already have it.
How fast can I migrate from my current BSP? Most teams migrate in half a day. Export contacts from current BSP, reassign WhatsApp number in Meta Business Manager, import contacts to new BSP, recreate templates (or wait for Meta to attach existing templates). Email us if you want help walking through it.
